Several Common Gas Ways of Mold Design Exhaust

What are the common ways of exhaust in mold design? Let's take a look at it!
1) Exhaust of exhaust groove
For forming large and medium-sized plastic parts of the mold, the need to exclude the amount of gas, usually should be set up exhaust groove is usually set up on the parting surface die side. The position of the exhaust groove should be at the end of the melt flow, and the size of the exhaust groove should be based on the principle that the gas can be discharged smoothly without overflow. The width of the exhaust groove is generally about 3-5mm, the depth dimension of the front end of the exhaust groove is less than 0.05mm, and the length is generally 0.7-1.0mm. the depth dimension of the commonly used exhaust groove can be verified <plastic mold technical manual>.
2) Parting surface exhaust
For small molds, the parting surface gap can be used to vent, but the parting surface must be at the end of the melt flow.
3) Pouring insert gap exhaust
For the combination of concave mold or cavity, can use its split gap exhaust.
4) Push rod clearance exhaust
Use the gap between the push rod and the template or core to exhaust, or intentionally add the gap between the push rod and the template.
5) Exhaust of powder unsintered alloy block
Powder unsintered alloy is a material sintered with spherical particle alloy, which has poor strength, but loose texture and allows gas to pass through. A piece of such alloy can be placed in the exhaust part to meet the exhaust requirements, but the diameter of the vent hole at the bottom should not be too large to prevent the cavity pressure from squeezing and deforming.
6) Exhaust from exhaust shaft
On the outside of the junction of the plastic melt, a cavity is provided to allow the gas to be discharged into it, and a good exhaust effect can also be obtained.
7) Mandatory exhaust
In the part of the closed gas, set the exhaust rod, this method of exhaust effect is good but will leave traces on the plastic parts, so the exhaust rod should be located in the plastic parts of the hidden place.
